Alfred University is committed to providing equitable and efficient services to all students.
The Office of Special Academic Services provides support services, consultation, and advocacy for students with learning, physical, and/or psychological disabilities. Services for persons with disabilities complement and support, but do not duplicate, the University's existing services and programs.
Accepted students receive a Special Academic Services registration form in their Admissions packet. When students complete this form and provide documentation of their disability, they are able to
- Receive appropriate accommodations
- Attend Early Orientation
- Have an academic consultant
- Learn self-advocacy skills

Consultation - Special Academic Services staff is available to consult with faculty, staff, and administration on disability related issues. Working together, they determine reasonable and appropriate accommodations for students with disabilities, and facilitate the delivery of services.
