Brian and I had met our freshman year through a friend Patricia (Pierce) Matthis '99, but I was dating someone else at the time. I always remember thinking he was the nicest guy I had ever met. Well, by the time our sophomore year rolled around, both of us were single.

I remember the day Brian asked me out because I just had been sistered into Sigma Chi Nu. I went to tell him and as we (Brian, Sal Gattone '99, and I) were walking to one of his classes he asked me to go to a movie. I totally didn't get that he was asking me out on a date, and he knew that I wasn't getting it. He asked me again and I said sure again. By the time I got back to my dorm, I realized that he asked me out!

We had great fun dating during our years at Alfred. We got married in June of 2001. We now have two children who are three and one years old!
