"I really feel the best days for Alfred University athletics are still in front of us, and I just want to be a part of that," said Jim Moretti ’72. That’s why he gave to the Score One for Alfred campaign, the first-ever major fund-raising initiative for athletic facilities at the University. Those are potent words, indeed, from Moretti, who was quarterback for the 1971 championship team; a Saxon football coach for 13 seasons, and athletic director for 15 years. "I feel so good about Alfred University athletics and where they are going," said Moretti. "I am impressed with the Score One for Alfred campaign and what we’ve been able to accomplish so far."
