There are lots of ways you can help Alfred University to succeed, and one of them is to volunteer your time.
Admissions
Refer high
school students you think would succeed at Alfred University
to the Admissions office, 607.871.2115 or email.
We have a special “alumni referred” application
form that waives the application fee for prospective students
you refer. Or suggest that the students visit our website and
fill out an application online.
Prospective students also like to hear from alumni the answers to age-old questions like “What does a ceramic engineer really do?” or “What can I do with a degree in (pick a field!)?” You may also volunteer to host an open house for prospective or accepted students. That’s especially important for students who might not easily be able to visit Alfred. Contact the Admissions office at 607.871.2115 or email.
Alumni and Community Relations
The
possibilities are nearly endless. We’re looking for
people to help plan Reunions and other alumni events; host
fellow alumni in their homes, or serve on the Alumni Council.
Contact the Alumni and Community Relations Office to see
how you can help AU. Call 607.871.2144 or email.

Interested
in collecting and writing class notes? Contact the Office
of Communications if you want to volunteer as a class correspondent. We’re
also always looking for good story ideas. If you have one,
let us know! 607.871.2103 or email.
Saxon Career Volunteer Network
As a member, you may be called upon to serve as a mentor, advisor to the CDC staff, classroom speaker, resource for relocation information, or you may be asked for leads on jobs or internships. You can sign up online or contact Mark McFadden at the CDC.
