2007-08: Played in 24 games, averaging 3.5 points per game. Kwiecien was defensively solid, snatching 22 steals. He ended the season with 51 rebounds and 83 points.

Before AU: Played at Perry (NY) High School, where he was a four-year starter, earning All-Livingston County Athletic Association second team honors as a sophomore and first team honors his junior and senior seasons…Was a three-time Greater Rochester all-star selection while leading the Yellowjackets to three conference titles and a 68-19 record during his high school career…As a senior, was named LCAA Player of the Year and a Ronald McDonald Section V All-Star Game participant after averaging 15.9 points, 4.7 assists and 3.4 steals.

Personal: The son of Kenneth and Robin Kwiecien, Gary is a ceramic engineering major…Will also play tennis for AU in the spring.
