2007: Placed 15th in the 200-yard backstroke, 27th in the 500-yard freestyle at the state championship meet ….Earned 11 top-three finishes in individual dual meets, including two wins and one second.

2006: Scored in three individual events at the state championship meet, placing 10th in the 1,650-yard freestyle, 13th in the 500-yard freestyle, and 18th in the 200-yard backstroke…Had 12 top-three finishes in individual dual-meet races, including two wins.

Before AU: Swam at Livonia (NY) High School, where he owns school records in the 500-yard freestyle and 100-yard backstroke.

Personal: Tyler, the son of Rich and Wendy Monroe, is a criminal justice major.
