2007: Was second on the team in batting average with .419, threw out nine of 14 runners attempting to steal and had a .994 fielding percentage.

2006: Had four runs and five RBIs while starting 32 games behind the plate…Had a .972 fielding percentage, threw out eight runners attempting to steal and had one pick off…Was AU’s Empire 8 Sportsperson of the Year.

Before AU: Played for coach Ann Capacci and A. Sherman at Albion (NY) High School, where she was named all-conference her sophomore, junior and senior years…Played travel ball for the Rochester (NY) Lady Lions from 2001-05, helping lead her team to a 17th-place national finish in 2002 and a fifth-place national finish in 2003.

Personal: Nikki, the daughter of Ralph and Anita Messura, is a physical education major.
