Tai Chi Workshop in Spring

It is Spring and it is time to do some excersies!
Two Tai Chi workshops will be offered from April 2 to May 11, every Monday to Friday, at the lobby on the second floor of McLane Center.
The first workshop is from 9-10 a.m. It is mainly for those who have learned Tai Chi and Swimming Dragon before and this will help them to review and keep practicing.
The second one is from 10-11 a.m. It is for Tai Chi beginners. 24-Style Tai Chi will be taught.
The Tai Chi master, Guifang Liu, who has taught Tai Chi and Swimming Dragon at Alfred last year, will continue to be the instructor.
This event is sponsored by Confucius Institute and it is free.

Join Me and Dan between noon and 1 p.m. in front of King Alfred to get your picture taken with your hoodie on to represent Trayvon Martin and inequality in the justice system.
Cheerleading Bake Sale

Cheerleading bake sale in Powell from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m.; lots of yummy baked goods. Come support the Alfred University Cheerleaders.
This will be held outside of the bookstore on the second floor of Powell.
Riley Lecture: Women, Social Media, Arab Spring

Tunisian Professor Hedia Ouertani-Khadhar
will present "North African Women: Arab Spring, Tunisian Revolution Activists and Women’s Rights Warriors" at 5:30 p.m., April 2, Knight Club, Powell Campus Center. Free catered reception to follow.
