Walk-in Hours at the CDC

- Location: The Steinheim, Career Development Center
(10:00 AM - 4:00 PM)
Alfred University’s Career Development Center has extended walk-in hours for the 2013-14 academic year -Wednesdays and Thursdays, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

You can drop in with any career-related question and see the next available counselor for 20 to 30 minutes, depending on availability.

Zumba Toning classes

Join licensed Zumba instructor Denise Eck for toning classes, noon, Tuesdays and Thursdays. $40 for nine sessions.

Saxon Swap

- Location: The Launch Pad, Powell Campus Center
(1:00 PM - 5:00 PM)
Purchase or exchange brand-name, gently used clothing. Find great clothes at ridiculously low prices.

Val Cushing (1931-2013) is a pottery legend. Born in Rochester, NY Val received his bachelor and masters of fine arts degrees from the School of Art and Design, College of Ceramics at Alfred University.

This exhibition features pieces from the museum’s permanent collection and as well as some on loan from the family. Beauty and function are themes in his work.

Leadership Program Capstone Project Showcase

- Location: Judson Leadership Center
(6:00 PM - 7:00 PM)
Students of the Gary Horowitz Leadership Development Program (GHLDP) will showcase their community leadership capstone projects on Thursday April 24 at 6 at the Judson Leadership Center.

Projects include: Artists Gone Wild art auction (Shahane Sahakian), Fairy Tales Live (Holly Durand and Meredith Laubert), and A Day to Get Dirty: Community Garden (Kevin O’Connor and Ashley Burdett). Students will discuss the ups and downs of their projects and how they made a positive impact on our community. Please join us and support them.
