Everyone Has a Nipple Cupcake Sale

Students Advocating Gender Equality is fundraising for conferences for spring semester. Cupcakes will be sold on the second floor of Powell from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., so stop by for tasty treat!

Environmental Studies Speaker Series: Black Bears

Friday Night Hike

- Location: Leaves from Powell Campus Center Mailroom
(6:00 PM - 7:00 PM)
A WILD about Alfred representative will lead a hike every Friday when school is in session starting at 6 p.m. We meet on the first floor of Powell Campus Center (near the mailroom). The hike is a little less than three miles long and takes just over an hour depending on pace.

International Exhibition of Contemporary Student Printmaking

The International Exhibition of Contemporary Student Printmaking will showcase the newest directions in contemporary printmaking at 15 participating institutions in nine countries across the world and it has will also be exhibited at Southern Graphics International Council 2015 Conference at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville.

Three students from the School of Art and Design are represented in this traveling exhibition: Maggie Wilson 2014, Tim Pauszek, and Ting Liu. Each participent made 15 prints to allow a print to be sent to each institution for exhibit and then will be become part of their permanent print collection.

Thirty-nine prints from this exchange will be exhibited in the Turner Student Gallery opening Friday Oct. 19.
This print exchange and resulting exhibits are a result of a previous collaboration of International Print Media Faculty event that was held at the Xi’an Academy of Fine Arts, CHINA at the "2013 Xi’an •International Printmaking Workshop" in October 2013. Joseph Scheer attended this workshop representing the College of Ceramics, School of Art and Design’s Printmaking area, which is in the Division of Expanded Media.

This group of faculty will meet again this coming January for The 4th International Printmaking Workshop 2015 which will be held at the University of Auckland, New Zealand.

Join the AU yoga club in giving hugs on Friday the 19th of September in support of the International Day of Peace (Sept. 21).

Yoga club will be making T-shirts for this event, but no T-shirt is required! Simply join us outside of Powell, on Academic Alley, or wherever, in spreading some peace and comfort!
