’GIS: How Can It Work for You’

Justin Grigg, AU GIS specialist will make the presentation. The seminar will describe the many ways a GIS assists the understanding and analysis of environmental and ecological data. Desktop and "virtual earth" GIS software will be sued to migrate tabular data to both 2D and 3D geospatial contexts.

Educators Networking Reception

- Location: Career Development Center
(5:00 PM - 7:00 PM)
Students from education-related majors and graduate programs will have the opportunity to establish professional contacts and receive essential feedback from superintendents, principals, counselors, school psychologists and other administrators from regional public school districts. The goal for this event is to allow Alfred University students, faculty and staff the opportunity to increase their network, receive practical, first-hand feedback from working professionals, and opportunity for review of potential application materials. In addition to the networking, there will be additional learning opportunities for students. This will include areas designated to review resumes, teaching philosophies/statements and portfolios.

Language Placement Exam

- Location: Perlman 218
(5:30 PM - 6:30 PM)
