As a kick-off to Drawn to Diversity, join guest speaker A’Lelia Bundles as she shares the early advertising achievements of her great-great grandmother Madam CJ Walker. Bundles also has 20+ years experience developing talent for ABC News.

When African-American poet Mel Tolson creates a debate team at historically black Wiley College, he pushes the team to a level of excellence that allows them to challenge powerhouse Harvard in 1935. But despite public success, personal clashes foment as the father of one of Tolson’s students resents his son’s loyalty to his coach.
AU Jazz Band in Concert!

Friday, April 11 @ 8 p.m. in Holmes Auditorium, Harder Hall. The AU Jazz Band will be performing a wide selection of tunes!
Come see some of our area’s finest talents as they play jazz "standards" such as Miles Davis’ "All Blues," Sonny Rollins’ "Oleo," and more contemporary tunes like Freddie Hubbard’s "Red Clay". You’ll even hear some harder FUNK/ROCK tunes like Gary Burton’s "Walter L." and Frank Zappa’s "Son of Mr. Green Genes"! Come support your local musicians!
