Special Lecture: Alzheimer’s Disease 2008

- Location: Nevins Theater Powell Campus Center

Dr. Mario Cornacchione DO, Family & Geriatric Medicine, Wilkes Barre, PA, and a member of the Alfred University class of 1975, will present "Alzheimer’s Disease in 2008: From the Molecular to Caregiver Levels," on Monday, April 21, 2008, at 12:20 p.m. in Nevins Theater, Powell Campus Center. The lecture is open to the public free of charge.

ALFRED, NY, April 2008-Dr. Mario Cornacchione DO, Family & Geriatric Medicine, Wilkes Barre, PA, and a member of the Alfred University class of 1975, will present "Alzheimer’s Disease in 2008: From the Molecular to Caregiver Levels," on Monday, April 21, 2008, at 12:20 p.m. in Nevins Theater, Powell Campus Center. The lecture is open to the public free of charge.

Cornacchione earned a bachelor of arts degree in biology from Alfred University, a master of science degree in medical physiology from Rutgers University, and a doctor of osteopathic medicine


from New York College of Osteopathic Medicine.

He has had a practice in family and geriatric medicine for 25 years, and is also a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Institute for Successful Aging at the New Jersey School of Osteopathic Medicine.
Cornacchione is president of two health-care affiliated companies. Geriatric Research & Consulting Group performs clinical research trials in the long-term care setting, and Geriatric Video Productions Inc. develops and produces video educational programs for geriatric care.
Cornacchione has lectured nationally on assessment and management of diseases of the elderly.
