Martin Luther King Day of Service

Alfred University and Alfred State will join for a Day of Service to commemorate the life and service of Martin Luther King Jr. on Saturday Jan. 25, 2014.
The day of service will begin with registration and breakfast at 8:30 a.m. and projects will be completed by 3 p.m. (if not earlier).
Projects will take place at various locations throughout Alfred and the surrounding communities.
Transportation and a t-shirt will also be provided!

Comedian: Sheng Wang

Sheng Wang was a featured performer in 2007 at Montreal Comedy Festival. In 2011, Comedy Central Presents aired his first broadcast on national television. Also, in 2011, he won top honors at NBC Universal’s Seventh Annual "Stand Up for Diversity" comedy search.
Wang has also appeared on Comedians of Comedy, American Eagle’s Campus Comedy Challenge, and Comedy Central’s Live at Gotham.
Auditions! A Musical: THe Mystery of Edwin Drood

Open auditions for Alfred University’s 1st MUSICAL in 7 years!!! All interested students are strongly encouraged to come and take advantage of this opportunity. "Drood", winner of 5 Tony Awards including Best Musical, is based on Charles Dicken’s unfinished novel of the same name. It is a playful, comedic romp, a "whodonit" in which the audience determines the responsible party. Please prepare a musical piece and bring sheet music if possible. (contact L. Crosby, 871-2572 with questions). Script and music on closed reserve in Herrick. For the reading part of the auditions, contact S. Crosby (firstname.lastname@example.org) for details, sides. Saturday auditions are at 3:00 PM; Sunday is at 7:00 PM. Please be punctual.
