El cafecito: Story Writing

Morgan Donohue Lecture + Workshop

Currently working at Pollich-Tallix, Morgan is one of the finest mold makers in the country today. With 28 years of sand mold making experience, Morgan Donohue has created sculptures by Von Rydingsvard, Otterness, Koons, Shapiro, Oldenburg, Noguchi and the DiVinci Horse, to name a few. His work is found in Washington, D.C. at the FDR Memorial, Japanese Interment Camp Memorial, the Korean War Memorial and the Holocust Museun. Traveling around the world, his work can be found in sculpture parks, sports venues and municipal installations.

Morgan Donohue will be conducting an extensive sand molding workshop at the National Casting Center Foundry in Alfred to share his craft with our students starting Monday 17 March through March 21.

Come by on Tuesday to listen and view the amazing projects he has undertaken also please pop by the foundry to see the molds being made: the hot metal pour will be on Thursday!
