Walk-in Hours at the CDC
(10:00 AM - 4:00 PM)
Alfred University’s Career Development Center has extended walk-in hours for the 2013-14 academic year -Wednesdays and Thursdays, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
You can drop in with any career-related question and see the next available counselor for 20 to 30 minutes, depending on availability.

For those students interested in a prehealth professional school (such as medical, vet, dental, PT, PA, nursing, pharmacy, etc.) after graduation, you should attend one of the upcoming Pre-health Workshops.
Each workshop will focus on a different topic: summer opportunities or applying to programs. We will end with one-one meetings, so please RSVP to email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Workshops will take place in the Board Room in Powell on Wednesday, March 19 at 12:20 p.m. and Thursday, March 20 at 12:20 p.m.

Alfred Literary Festival Reading by Leah Stewart

Fiction writer Leah Stewart will read from her work tonight in Scholes Library. A reception and book signing will follow.
Leah Stewart is the author of the novels "Body of a Girl," "The Myth of You and Me," "Husband and Wife," and "The History of Us." A recipient of an NEA Literature Fellowship, she directs and teaches in the Creative Writing Program at the University of Cincinnati and lives in Cincinnati with her husband and two children.
Songs of Spring-An Evening of Chinese Music

Confucius Institute will host the "Songs of Spring-An Evening of Chinese Melody" concert at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 20 in Nevins Theater. It’s free admission.
The concert consists of 10 Chinese classic music pieces by Guzheng musician Zhongbei (Daisy) Wu, Guqin musician Peter Worden from Buffalo, Dizi musician Shijun Cheng from Confucius Institute at Binghamton University, and Dr. Luanne Crosby from the Division of Performing Arts.

’Betrayal,’ A Play by Harold Pinter

"Have you ever been unfaithful?"
Come see this intriguing play as it follows a long-term extramarital affair and love triangle. This "memory play" also runs in reverse chronology, making the end of the play the beginning of the affair.
Directed and performed by senior theater majors Bellisant Corcoran-Mathe, Darren Palmer, and Jamal Welcome, this play is the capstone in these students’ theatrical studies.
