  Visual arts students have a wide range of art-related and general transferable skills that need to be listed on resumes and cover letters, and clearly identified as career-related skills.

• Develop a great art resume, or a Technical Skills addendum to your existing resume.
• Educate yourself about the wide range of materials, processes, and skill sets to which working artists in your field are exposed.
• Research appropriate employers and conduct keyword searches on job search websites.
