Accepted Students...Next Steps!

Now that you've been accepted, you might be wondering, what's next? Below you will find information on next steps, important dates and events you won't want to miss!

Powell Campus Center

Enrollment Reply Form
The Enrollment Reply Form is your official confirmation that Alfred University is your first choice in schools. You have until May 1 to send your confirmation along with your $300 deposit which holds your place as an incoming student. You can make your deposit online with your AU Student ID Number, by calling our office at 800-541-9229 with a credit card, or by sending a personal check made out to Alfred University with the Enrollment Reply Form in the Business Reply Envelope provided in your acceptance packet.

Off-Campus Receptions
Alfred University is hosting several off-campus evening receptions for our accepted students and their parents. AU staff and alumni will be traveling to Albany, Buffalo, Long Island, Rochester, and Syracuse.

Accepted Student Open House
Join us on either March 28th or April 11th for one of our Accepted Student Open Houses. This is the perfect time to come meet potential classmates, speak with professors, learn more about clubs and organizations, and get tours of the campus.

Overnight Visits

Accepted students can see first-hand what campus life is like by staying overnight in one of our residence halls with a student host. You may eat in one of our dining halls, sit in on a class, participate in campus activities and have a tour of campus. Overnight visits are offered Sunday through Thursday during February, March and the beginning of April. No overnight visits are scheduled during our Midterms and Spring Break.

Financial Aid
Submit the FAFSA as soon after January 1 as possible. AU's priority deadline for completing the FAFSA and AU Financial Aid Application is March 15 for freshman students enrolling in the fall semester.

Orientation is a time for you to get to know your classmates and the campus. We have special programs and activities that will bring you up to speed both socially and academically.

Alfred University offers students several distinct living styles and communities (First Year, comprised of only First Year students; Mixed class, comprised of all class years; and Upper class, comprised of Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors). All residence halls are co-ed, either by floor or by room/suite/apartment (same gender in room). Bathrooms are designated male or female.

Just for Parents

We know you have questions about sending your child to AU. Who better to answer them than parents of current AU students? We've set up an Alfred University Parent to Parent Yahoo Group. You need to be invited to join this private group - Email Me (Jason Weeks) to receive an invitation. You'll be able to talk to other parents who are happy to share their experiences about life at AU.
