Background
Biography
Judy Livingston received her Master of Fine Arts degree summa cum laude from the University of Michigan (Ann Arbor, MI). She has also studied at the Vignelli Center for Design Studies (RIT), the Basel School of Design (Basel, Switzerland), Kyoto Seiko University (Kyoto, Japan), and the College for Creative Studies (Detroit, MI).

Judy is the principal of Good Work Good Cause, a design studio that focuses on design as a catalyst for positive societal change. From initial concepts to completed production, she designs solutions to engage, inform, and inspire. Her philosophy is simple: Imagine without parameters, then refine to meet the objective. Her clients include cultural and educational institutions, manufacturing industries, retail and wholesale businesses, and community service organizations.

Judy truly believes in the power of good design as a problem solving process. Where there is a need, the design process serves as a catalyst for finding creative and strategic solutions to ameliorate that need. As a designer and design educator, Judy is dedicated to the design process as a vehicle for critical thinking, visual literacy, and innovation.

Recent exhibits include the Fosdick-Nelson Gallery (Alfred, NY), Jilin University (Changchun, China) the Richard Margolis Studio (Rochester, NY) and the Vignelli Center for Design Studies (Rochester, NY).
