Eligibility
Anyone with an outstanding high school record and a broad range of interests may apply. Whether you are interested in the liberal arts, engineering, art, business, or even if you are undecided about your future, Alfred University's Honors Program invites applications from students who want to go beyond the norm and do something different.

If you consider yourself to be an independent thinker with a high degree of motivation and love of learning, AU Honors may be just the place for you. We look for students who are creative, imaginative, and dynamic, students who want more out of their education than the mainstream curriculum.

Admission Considerations

• Your high school transcript is, of course, a most important admission consideration. If you are a New York State resident, your Regents grades will be a factor.
• A recommendation from someone at your high school who knows your academic work is a must.
• Your application essay for Honors is a critical component in the admission process and is given very serious consideration.

Application
