Position Title: Assistant Professor of Finance
Location: School of Business
Responsibilities: The School of Business at Alfred University invites applications for a tenure track position at the Assistant Professor level in Finance beginning August 2014. Our AACSB-International Accredited programs include undergraduate business education and an MBA program. The university values excellence in teaching and development of students as individuals, and offers opportunities for collaboration with faculty members across campus.
Requirements: We are looking for a candidate who is teaching oriented with potential for peer-reviewed publications and can fulfill Academic Qualifications as defined by AACSB. Candidates with a Ph.D. in Finance or specialization in Financial Economics preferred; ABD considered with evidence of completion within one year. Teaching responsibilities will be primarily undergraduate, with some courses in the MBA Program. An active student managed investment fund provides opportunities for applied learning.
Experience: Salary and fringe benefits are competitive, and research and professional development support is available. Alfred is a small comprehensive university located in the beautiful Finger Lakes region of New York with affordable housing and opportunities for outdoor recreation.
