Tefft was built in 1963 as a men's residence hall. It is currently a coed freshmen building with males on both the first and third floors, and females on the second floor, and is designated a “quiet study residence hall.” This corridor-style hall has 50 rooms and allows for a lot of community building. There is a laundry room, computer lab, recreation room, lounge, and community kitchen on the ground floor of Tefft for residents to utilize.

Tefft has one Resident Assistant per floor and one Resident Director for the building. Tefft is located near a natural area where wildlife is often seen.
