Gary Ostrower, professor of history at Alfred University (AU), has been named a “SuperProfessor” by FacultyRow.com

Lora Lefebvre, AU class of 1981, is the new State University of New York (SUNY) Associate Vice Chancellor for Health Affairs. Lefebvre is responsible for leading the Office of Academic Health and Hospital Affairs at SUNY system administration. 

Alfred University Trustee Michael Christakis ‘99 is the invited keynote speaker for the annual Student Affairs division staff development day, Jan. 15.

“Light and Dark,” an exhibit of the latest collected works of ceramicist Robert Moore, AU class of 2012, MFA, is on display at the Burbank (CA) Creative Arts Center through Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2013.

Pamela Schultz, professor of communication studies at Alfred University, has co-authored a book with John Douard titled  “Monstrous Crimes and the Failure of Forensic Psychiatry,” a volume focusing on the widely shared views of what are often considered “monstrous crimes.”

David Perlstein, author of SLICK! and AU class of 1966, won notoriety when Kirkus Review placed his work on its list, 2012’s Top 25 Indy Books.
