Dance program students to present informal shows
The Alfred University (AU) Performing Arts Division’s Dance Program will present “An Informal Dance Showing” at 7 p.m. both Thursday and Friday, Nov. 29 and 30, in the Miller Performing Arts Center CD Smith Theater. Different performances will be shown each night.

Performing Arts Division to host Winter Concerts
The Alfred University Chorus, Chamber Singers, and Orchestra will perform their 2012 Winter Concert twice, once Saturday, Dec. 1, at 8 p.m. in Miller Theater, Miller Performing Arts Center, and again on Sunday, Dec. 2, at 3 p.m., at St. Ann’s Church, Hornell. The events will also include performances by the Alfred Volunteer Choir Company.

AU professor to present Bergren Forum on simplicity
Emrys Westacott, professor of philosophy at Alfred University, will present “The Philosophy of Frugality” as the final presentation in the Fall 2012 Bergren Forum Series, Thursday, Dec. 6 at 12:10 p.m. in Nevins Theater, Powell Campus Center. The event is free of charge and open to the public.
