Rogers, a 1975 graduate of Alfred University who is now executive vice president of WXXI Public Broadcasting Council in Rochester, will speak at 4 p.m. Friday, June 8, in the Knight Club, Powell Campus Center. Following graduation from Alfred University in 1993, James Klein, M.F.A., teamed up with high school friend David Reid and opened the KleinReid porcelain design studio in New York City. Their pieces are handmade and the porcelain and glazes used in their designs are hand-mixed. KleinReid’s pieces can be seen on television, in movies, and have been featured in magazines like Vogue Living (Australia) and Elle Decor (South Africa). Click here for more... |

Five years ago, the house on Main Street in the Village of Alfred was a dilapidated wreck, symbolic of a Greek system gone so wrong that the Alfred University Board of Trustees banned fraternities and sororities.
