Hillel releases Jewish High Holy Days schedule for 2008
Hillel at Alfred will sponsor High Holy Day services for 2008 on the Alfred University campus and at the Temple Beth El in Hornell, NY.
Additionally, Hillel will hold an erev Rosh Hashanah dinner, an erev Yom Kippur dinner and break fast meal. All dinners will be held at Susan Howell Hall on the Alfred University Campus.
The schedule is as follows:
Monday, Sept. 29 — 5:15 p.m., dinner at Howell Hall and 6:45 p.m., services at Temple Beth El. (Those needing transportation should meet at Howell Hall on the AU campus at 6:15 p.m.)
Tuesday, Sept. 20 — 10 a.m., morning services at Howell Hall and evening services at Temple Beth El at 6:45 p.m. (Those needing transportation should meet at Howell Hall at 6:15 p.m.)
Wednesday, Oct. 1 — 9 a.m., morning services at Temple Beth El. (Those needing transportation should meet at the AU Physical Plant at 8:45 a.m.)
Wednesday Oct 8 — 5 p.m., dinner at Howell Hall and Kol Nidre Services at Temple Beth El at 6:35 p.m. (Those needing transportation should meet at Howell Hall at 6:15 p.m.)
Thursday Oct. 9 — 9 a.m. morning services at Temple Beth El. (Those needing transportation should meet at the AU Physical Plant at 8:45 a.m.) followed by concluding services and Break Fast at 5 p.m. in Howell Hall.
The Break Fast meal is free to members of Hillel and is $10 for non-members. The other dinners are $5 for members and $10 for non-members. Reservations for the Rosh Hashonah dinner must be made by Thursday, Sept. 18, and reservations for the Yom Kippur dinner must be made by Monday, Sept. 29.

Membership in Hillel at Alfred is open to Alfred University and Alfred State students. Benefits include reduced rates at Sunday brunches, as well as fro the Passover Seder and other Hillel activities, including dinners. Cost of memberships is $25 per person. Checks may be made payable to Hillel at Alfred and sent to either Larry or Barbara Greil at the addresses listed above.
