Senior BFA Shows: an overview

Alfred University’s School of Art and Design hosted 83 Senior BFA Shows on Saturday, May 6 in three buildings on the University campus — Harder Hall, Binns-Merill and the McGee Pavilion, which houses the Turner Gallery — and The Cohen Center Gallery, on Main Street in the Village of Alfred. The University’s School of Art and Design earlier hosted 10 Senior BFA show in December 2017 at the close of the fall semester.

BFA students will receive their degrees along the rest of the University’s Class of 2017 on May 13. Following the spring commencement ceremony, The School of Art and Design will host a reception for graduates, friends, and family members in Harder Hall, at which time the Senior Art Show Award will be announced, including a cash award that accompanies the honor.

Alfred University’s BFA graduates also qualify to apply for a Residency Fellowship at Cité Internationale des Arts, in Paris. That award will be announced along with the Senior Art Show Award at the reception in Harder Hall.
