Princeton Review rates Alfred University one of the 'best colleges in the nation'
Alfred University is among the best in the United States, according to the 2018 edition of Princeton Review’s “The Best 382 Colleges.”
The ranking puts Alfred University among the top 15 percent of colleges and universities across the country.
“Once again, it is great to get affirmation of what we know: Alfred University is a great school, offering top-quality academic programs in an environment that focuses on the students,” said Alfred University President Mark Zupan. “That is a credit to our faculty, and to everyone on campus who helps to make the Alfred University a positive experience for our students.”
According to The Princeton Review, Alfred University “is a small school with an impressive range of world-class majors. The school is known for its ‘excellent art program,’ particularly its ceramics and glass majors, as well as for its engineering and psychology programs. While some students at Alfred focus only on their majors, students happily report that there are a ‘variety of academic opportunities’ and that it's easy to take subjects outside your major. This is appreciated by many, including one art student who likes that Alfred offers “other majors versus a traditional art [school] setting. If I had decided to change majors, Alfred has almost every opportunity.’ Alfred's ‘outstanding, talented, dedicated’ faculty is one of its biggest draws.”
