Solar electric systems to be featured in AU environmental seminar 10/27/08
Brad Berwald, senior sales engineer of Morningstar Corp., Washington Crossing, PA, will discuss “From Trenton to Timbuktu: Solar Electric Systems On and Off the Grid” during the Friday, Oct. 31 Environmental Studies Seminar at Alfred University. The lecture will take place in Roon Lecture Hall, Science Center, at 12:20 p.m.
Berwald graduated from Alfred University with a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering and a master’s degree in business administration. His company focuses on producing power electronics that use solar charge controllers and inverters to provide AC and DC power to remote locations. He spends much of his time supporting Morningstar’s industrial sales channels in the United States and around the globe. He is particularly interested in working in developing nations. The popular Environmental Studies Seminar series is held every Friday during the fall semester when the University is in session. All the lectures are free and open to the public. Sponsored by the Division of Environmental Studies within Alfred University’s College of Liberal Arts & Sciences, the series brings a range of speakers to the campus, including scientists, activists, and policy-makers, helping us to better understand our environment and what we can do to better sustain our world. |
