Bergren Forum will focus on alternative energy technology
Doreen Edwards will present “Alternative Energy: Technology, Policy, and Research” on Thursday, Feb. 5, 2009 at the Bergren Forum at 12:10 p.m. at Powell Campus Center’s Nevins Theatre, Alfred University. This event is free of charge and open to the public.
Edwards, professor of ceramic engineering and materials science at the University, will discuss alternative energy technology and policies, focusing on research conducted in the School of Engineering at Alfred University.
Edwards received a bachelor of science degree in chemistry at the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology. She completed a Ph.D. in materials science and engineering at Northwestern University. At Alfred University, she teaches thermodynamics of materials and advanced thermodynamics of materials.
The Bergren Forum, sponsored by the Alfred University Division of Human Studies, meets Thursdays during each academic semester at the University. Participants are encouraged to bring a lunch; coffee and tea will be available.
