Alumnus appointed president at Harper International
Harper International, a global provider of advanced thermal processing systems, is pleased to announce the appointment of Charles W. Miller, Jr., Alfred University class of 1987, to the position of President.
Mr. Miller joined Harper in 1995 and has performed in progressive management positions, most recently as Vice President of International Business.
He is a graduate of Alfred University, holds numerous U.S. and international patents, served as New England Section Chair of The American Ceramic Society and Program Chair of Materials & Equipment Division of The American Ceramic Society. Miller has focused upon the creation of advanced thermal processing systems and techniques for the majority of his professional career.
Mr. Miller is recognized as a major contributor in establishing Harper International as a premier international supplier of comprehensive systems for continuous thermal processing of materials.
His leadership has inspired the establishment of a significant installation base of systems, global sales, and service network for Harper. These installations include the most technologically advanced and productive carbon fiber plants, solar materials systems, technical ceramic sintering, and battery materials reactors.
The Board of Directors stated, “We are confident that the selection of Mr. Miller as President assures the continued successful growth of Harper International.
