Farm Credit of Western New York names alumnus CEO

C. Scott Herring, AU class of 1976, was named Farm Credit of Western New York CEO and [resident by it’s 10-member board. The 16-county lending and financial service cooperative has $1 billion dollars in assets.

Scott joined Farm Credit of Western New York as Chief Operating Officer in 1998. He has worked 33 years within the Farm Credit System.

The Otego, NY native earned his bachelor's degree in business administration from Alfred University.

In addition to farm and agribusiness loans, the member-owned cooperative offers leases, appraisals, AgrifaxÒ record-keeping services, tax services, consulting services and crop insurance to agricultural producers and rural residents.

The Association is part of the Farm Credit System, a nationwide financial cooperative that lends to agriculture and rural America. Farm Credit of Western New York, ACA has offices in Batavia, Geneva, Hornell and Mayville and serves over 3,400 members.
