Art and ecology exhibition scheduled in Harder Hall
Everyone is invited to the opening reception for the exhibition “issues,” located in the Turner Gallery of Harder Hall, Alfred University, on Sunday, March 29, from 1-3 p.m.
The reception will celebrate the exhibition of works created by students in the new Art and Ecology course being offered on campus.
The exhibit includes eight ambitious and diverse works from across disciplines. It will feature the work of Shannon Yoder, Jenny Urfer, Sondra Perry, Gia Michael, Ernie Legg, Rachel Kloppel, Matthew Fendya and Shannon Brett.
The Turner Gallery, named for Professor Robert Turner, is for the exhibition of student or visiting artists’ creative work organized by students or faculty under the direction of student leadership.
Past shows at this exhibit include large-scale paintings, study-abroad photo exhibit, mixed media installation, sophomore ceramic work, and electronic media.
The exhibit is open to the public Sunday, 1-7 p.m., and Monday and Tuesday 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. All works will be critiqued on Monday from 8:30-11:10 a.m.; and this session is open to all who are interested.
