Featured with the orchestra will be violin soloist Jorg Pomplun performing "Rondo Capriccioso" by Camille Saint Saens.

Born in Berlin, Pomplun earned a master’s degree in English and music in secondary education at the University of the Arts in Berlin and at the Humboldt University in Berlin in 2008. In 2005 he spent an academic year in England at the University of Sheffield.
In addition to his involvement in different kinds of dance (modern, contemporary, Hip Hop, folk) and improvisational theater, he has played the violin and the piano for 22 years.
He is a two-time prizewinner at the German nationwide instrumental competition “Jugend usiziert” (“Young people make music”) for his solo and ensemble performance. Currently, he is a Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant at Alfred University where he teaches German language and culture courses.
