2008 alumna to present work in three-artist exhibit

Stone Quarry Hill Art Park will host an opening reception for visiting artists Jane Orr, Margaret La Bounty and guest artist Deb Vandenbrouke, at the Art Park on Sunday, July 26, from 3-5 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. A $5 parking donation is appreciated.

Ceramic artist Jane Orr, a member of the AU class of 2008, will be creating ceramic sculptural forms to be placed within the Art Park. She recently moved from Portland, Maine and is on her way to live in Detroit, Michigan where she will work at a studio/gallery.

LaBounty, who is installing a forest of ceramic totems at the Art Park, lives in Council Bluffs, Iowa and works in clay, acrylic, charcoal, and mixed media. Her work interprets Native American cultural influence gained through her travels and residence in the Southwestern U.S. She has established a presence on the national and international art scene and her work has found a home within many private collections.

Guest artist Vandenbrouke is a sculptor who hails from Madison, Wisconsin. Her Indiana Limestone sculpture, called “The Understanding,” is on loan to the Art Park from local owner Donna Dallal-Ferne and family. Deb will give an artist talk about the work at the July 26 reception.

The Art Park is located at 3883 Stone Quarry Road in Cazenovia, N.Y.
