ALFRED, NY -- Visiting Cazenovia beat the Alfred University volleyball team, 3-1, Saturday afternoon at the McLane Center.

Cazenovia won by scores of 16-25, 25-8, 25-22 and 25-13 to drop the Lady Saxons to 0-2 on the season.

Senior Emily Steen (South Pasadena, CA/Purnell) had seven kills, two service aces and three blocks (two solo) and sophomore Emily Crosby (Fairport, NY/Fairport) had nine kills, three aces and 13 digs to lead AU. Senior Emma Walsh (Lancaster, NY/Mt. St. Mary) had seven assists and junior Tara Quigley (Bluepoint, NY/Bayport-Bluepoint) and senior Janelle Brandow (Dolgeville, NY/Dolgeville) each had eight kills.

AU is in action next on Tuesday, Sept. 8, at 7 p.m. ay Brockport.
