Ceralink Expands Microwave Technology Center
Troy, NY – Ceralink Inc., a leader in materials engineering and technology commercialization, announced today the expansion of their advanced Microwave Technology Center.
The expansion, which includes a new 1300 sq. ft. laboratory, new R&D equipment and new engineering personnel, will allow Ceralink to meet the growing demand for energy efficient solutions to today’s materials challenges. “Development of new processes that create value for our customers is at the core of Ceralink’s mission,” said Patricia Strickland (AU class of 2002), chief executive officer. “This expansion will increase our research and development capabilities, and allow us to offer manufacturers a competitive edge in glass lamination.”
Ceralink’s expanded Microwave Technology Center will now comprise a high temperature microwave testing lab, a chemical lab and a radio frequency (RF) lamination lab. The RF lamination lab will be equipped with an RF press for in-house trials, pilot scale demonstrations and continued development of the company’s proprietary FastFuseTM RF Lamination Technology. FastFuseTM is a new ultra-fast, energy saving process for lamination of glass and composites using a radio frequency press.
