Next Bergren Forum will address ‘Images of Holocaust Memory’

Robert Reginio, assistant professor of English at Alfred University, will present “Images of Holocaust Memory” on Thursday, Oct. 8, 2009 at AU’s Bergren Forum, 12:10 p.m. at Powell Campus Center’s Nevins Theater. This event is free of charge and open to the public.

Reginio graduated from the University of Massachusetts in 2008 with a Ph.D. in English. His teaching interests include American and European modernism, critical theory, modern drama, and memory and trauma studies.

Reginio was awarded the Postdoctoral Teaching Fellowship in Transatlantic Modernism, from Frostburg (MD) State University in 2008 and the Harry Ransom Humanities Research Center Dissertation Fellowship in 2006. In that same year, he was also recognized as a finalist for a university-wide distinguished teaching award.

The Bergren Forum, sponsored by the Alfred University Division of Human Studies, meets Thursdays during each academic semester. Participants are encouraged to bring a lunch; coffee and tea will be available.
