AU Orchestra ready to perform haunting delights at Halloween concert

The Alfred University Division of Performing Arts will present the AU Orchestra in a Halloween concert on Friday, Oct. 30, at 7 p.m. in Holmes Auditorium, Harder Hall. This event is open to the public free of charge.

Directed by Dr. Lisa Lantz, associate professor of music/strings and chair of the Performing Arts Division, this performance will feature a return visit from a local monster of ceremonies, Brook Harris. Guests are free to dress up if they would like and everyone is sure to be in for a frightfully good time.

Lantz is an experienced orchestral conductor with performances in both choral and symphonic works such as Handel’s “Messiah,” Vivaldi’s “Gloria,” and Bach’s “Magnificat.”

She has studied under Ruggiero Ricci, Jacob Krachmalnick, and Michael Davis, and has taken part in European master classes with internationally renowned artists Aaron Rosand and Nathan Milstein.
