Blue Sky Mission Club schedules performance at Alfred University

Blue Sky Mission Club will perform on Friday, Feb. 12 from 10 p.m. to midnight in the Knight Club, Powell Campus Center, Alfred University. WALF 89.7 FM, the student-run radio station, is sponsoring the free concert.

Blue Sky Mission Club is based in Ithaca and has been making music under the voice and guidance of founder London McDaniel since 2004. The group recently completed a three-song EP.

Rob Taylor from ERI James Magazine, Erie, PA. describes Blue Sky Mission Club as “defines itself in a new way with their own style of music.” And “they have combined zydeco, jazz, blues, pop and soulgrass and the mix worked.”

Indy Black from Live Music News and Review describes the Blue Sky Mission Club’s songs as “truly grasped the audience with irresistible grooves and blissful harmonies.”
