ALFRED, NY – Visiting Nazareth College defeated the Alfred University men’s tennis team, 6-3, Wednesday afternoon.

Junior Nick Schneider (Liverpool, NY/Liverpool) earned Alfred’s lone singles win, taking his second singles match 7-5, 6-4. The Saxons (3-3, 1-2 Empire 8) won two of three doubles matches. Junior Connor Houghton (Orleans, MA/Nauset Regional) and Schneider won their first doubles match, 9-8; sophomore Nathan Garletts (Havertown, PA/Haverford) and junior Ryan Parlia (Valley Stream, NY/Valley Stream South) took third doubles, 8-6.

AU is in action next on Friday, April 9, at 4 p.m. at Pitt-Bradford.
