Alfred University offers summer Chinese language, culture camp for young students
4/09/10

The Alfred University Confucius Institute is offering a Chinese Language and Culture Summer Camp, from Sunday, July 11-Friday, July 16, 2010.

Application deadline is Friday, April 16, 2010. Cost of the weeklong camp is $895.

This camp is for students aged 12-17; students will be divided into two age groups, 12-14 and 15-17.

The program offers an opportunity for students to
learn more about Chinese language and culture in an exciting, fun-filled, interactive environment. A small-class format will ensure that each camper gets sufficient individual attention.

Morning sessions will focus on Chinese language classes, while afternoons will be filled with “hands-on” cultural activities such as traditional Chinese arts and crafts, calligraphy, songs, dance, games, cooking, and more.

Faculty members in the Alfred University Confucius Institute, who are experienced teachers fluent in both English and Chinese will provide instruction.
