High school students have opportunity to study English-as-second-language at Alfred University

Alfred University is offering an English-as-a-Second Language (ESL) Summer Program for high school Students from Monday, July 5 to Saturday, July 24, 2010. Application deadline is Friday, April 16, 2010.

This camp is for students ages 14-18 who have already received several years of English instruction and have a good basic knowledge of the language. The three-week ESL Summer Program will provide English instruction in a supportive environment, along with activities and cultural excursions, including a half-day trip to the Genesee Country Museum, Mumford. Students will attend classes in the morning and enjoy recreational activities in the afternoon and evening.

The program fee is $2,995 per person; it includes tuition, housing, meals, program materials, activities, and a certificate of completion. Students who wish to apply must complete the application form, which can be found on, and return the application to the Office of Summer Programs. (Late applications will be considered, if space is available.)
