Trustee Roger Worboys dies after brief illness
We regret to inform you of the death of Alfred University Trustee Roger Worboys on May 1, 2010. He died at his home in Durham, NH, after a brief illness. Mr. Worboys, a member of Alfred University’s Class of 1969, was 62.
Mr. Worboys had served as a member of the Alumni Council, prior to becoming an alumni-elected trustee in 2007. As a trustee, he was a member of the Audit, Finance and University Relations committees, and was vice chair of the Enrollment Management Committee.
“With Mr. Worboys’ death, we have lost a valued and generous supporter of Alfred University,” said Stanley Colla, vice president for University Relations.
Mr. Worboys is survived by his wife Mary Lee Worboys, his children and their spouses, as well as a sister and brother.
A Mass of Christian burial is being celebrated at 11 am Friday, May 7, at the Parish of the Assumption, St. Mary Church, in Dover, NH.
