LEXINGTON, KY — Johanna Moore (Summit, NY/Morristown-Beard), a junior on the Alfred University English equestrian team, competed Friday at the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) national championships.

Moore, competing in novice equitation on the flat, did not place. She was Alfred’s lone representative at the IHSA national show, which began Thursday and concludes today.

Moore qualified to compete at nationals by virtue of her placing first in novice equitation on the flat at the IHSA Zone II championship show April 10 in Hackettstown, NJ. In addition to her Zone title in novice equitation on the flat, Moore also won a Zone II, Region II title in novice equitation over fences.
