SPRINGFIELD, MA -- The Alfred University men's track and field team placed 32nd at the ECAC outdoor championship meet, held Thursday and Friday at Springfield College.

AU finished the two-day meet with five points. Junior Shawn Ross (Ticonderoga, NY/Ticonderoga) was fifth in the shot put (14.72 meters); senior Lee Consolo (Pleasantville, NY/Pleasantville), freshman Jeremy Weaver (Lancaster, PA/Lancaster Catholic), senior Matt Phillips (Kinderhook, NY/Ichabod Crane), and sophomore Rich Scott (Eden, NY/Eden) were eighth in the 4X400-meter relay, with a school record time of 3:20.85.
