Mark ... and I began the company over 15 years ago we wanted to take the best aspects learned from our diverse corporate experience and incorporate our ideas for a really different company. An excerpt from our mission statement developed in 1994 states as one of our goals „maintaining a positive, challenging and rewarding environment for our employees?. This „Best Companies to Work for in New York? recognition validates that we are on the right track and energizes us to continue on this path. We are grateful to our dedicated employees who feel the work for a company that promotes a positive work environment.”

This annual statewide survey and awards program is designed to identify, recognize and honor New York?s best places of employment that are benefiting the state's economy, its workforce and businesses. The Best Companies to Work for in New York list is made up of 40 companies split into two groups: 25 small/medium- sized companies (15-249 employees) and 15 large-sized companies (250 or more employees).

Companies from across the state entered the two-part process striving to be among the Best Companies to Work for in New York. In order to participate, companies had to fulfill the following eligibility requirements: have at
least 15 employees in the state of New York; be a for-profit or not-for-profit business or government entity; be a publicly or privately held business; have a facility in the state of New York; and be in business for a minimum
of one year.

The first part consisted of evaluating each nominated company's workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics. This part of the process was worth approximately 25% of the total evaluation. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience. This part of the process was
worth approximately 75% of the total evaluation. The combined scores determined the top companies and the final ranking. Best Companies Group evaluated the data collected from the participating companies and used their expertise to determine the final rankings.
