Master of Fine Arts program again tops in the nation
As it has every year since US News and World Report began ranking Master of Fine Arts programs, the ceramic art program in the School of Art & Design, New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred University, is tops in the nation.
This year, for the third year, Alfred’s MFA in glass art ranked second in the nation, tied with the program at Rochester Institute of Technology.
Overall, Alfred’s MFA program is 10th in the nation, which is also the same as last year’s ranking.
“The strength and consistency of our Master of Fine Arts program ratings by US News and World Report is a credit to our faculty and students in the School of Art & Design,” said Dr. William Hall, provost of Alfred University.
The School of Art & Design is part of the New York State College of Ceramics, a statutory unit of the State University of New York (SUNY) system that Alfred University administers.
