BRADFORD, PA – The Alfred University volleyball team lost to host Pitt-Bradford, 3-0, in the Saxons’ 2010 season opener Wednesday evening.

AU (0-1) lost by scores of 25-17, 25-14 and 25-1.
Freshman Chelsea Hall (Grand Island, NY/Grand Island) led AU with six kills, three digs and a block. Junior Emily Crosby (Fairport, NY/Fairport) had four kills, seven digs and two blocks; freshman Tara Barone (Derby, NY/Lake Shore) had a team-best 12 assists; and freshman Paige Jensen (Weiser, ID/Weiser) had four kills and four digs.

AU is in action next on Saturday, Sept. 4, at 11 a.m. at Hamilton.
