UTICA, NY-- The Alfred University women’s soccer team lost to host Utica, 1-0 Sunday afternoon.

Jaime Hillman scored the lone goal of the match for Utica, with just under two minutes to play in the first half.

Utica (2-5-0, 1-1-0 E8) outshot Alfred 16-7, and held a 12-5 advantage of shots on goal. Senior goalie Shanna Ewoldt (Tuscon, AZ/Waubansie) made 11 saves in the game for Alfred. Joceyln Rivera had five saves in goal for Utica.

Alfred (2-3-2, 0-2-1 E8) will play again Wednesday, Sept. 29, at 7 p.m. against visiting RIT.
